I'm super happy to tell you that Substream is now available on itch.io!

Substream is an aerial 3D on-rails shooter for Windows, where the world morphs and pulses to the soundtrack, and space is looped so that you and your enemies appear in multiple positions at once.

Each of the six levels in Substream have been inspired by a different piece of music, from jazz and folk to chiptune and funk. Everything from the ground and sky to your enemies bullets is synchronized to the beats, melodies and moods of the music. Try to survive until the end of each track with two different aircraft, a selection of powerups including railguns and missiles...

...and your infinite squadron. Space is looped to your sides as you fly. Each enemy appears in multiple positions ahead of you and if you look to the sides, copies of your aircraft can be seen stretching off into the distance.

Substream features music from Floex (Samarost 3, Machinarium), Souleye (VVVVVV), and the British electro-folk Monster Ceilidh Band.
